Why not everyone is getting rich? There are two reasons for that. First, they don't understand what they have. Second, they don't take action. Three years ago I stumbled upon four simple rules in making money. Here are the rules that you must follow to make the money you deserve.
Rule No. 1 Know yourself well to know what you have
All of us were born with special talents and skills but not many have discovered them yet. Now is the time for you to discover them. But to do that you need to look deep inside yourself. Close your eyes and stay focus and ask yourself what are your special talent and skills. If you are focused, you can hear the answer coming from inside of you. Once you have discovered your special talents and skills choose the one that you enjoy doing. This will be your source of extra income for years to come.
Rule No. 2 Know how to make yourself visible
Having special talent and skills will not generate any extra money for you unless you make yourself visible and commercialized your skills. You need to promote yourself and you can do it for free. Let people know that you have something they need and they are willing to pay for it. In my case I love giving motivation talk. To get visibility at the early stage of my talking career, I did it for free. I also got free publicity from the media when I delivered free talks to the NGOs. To add to my credibility and visibility, I also wrote a book on the area of self-help. You need to establish yourself as an authority in the area you want to do. Only then people are willing to pay large amount of money for your service.
Rule No. 3 Deliver as you promised
This rule will glue your customers to you. Remember all of us like to deal with honest people. Walk the talk and always deliver as promised and be professional. Don't promise something you can't deliver as this will ruin your credibility.
Rule No. 4 Go the extra mile
If you do something for your customer, do it because you love to do it and always be willing to go the extra mile. Remember when you give more you will receive more.
These rules are not rocket science. Getting rich is about knowing what you have and taking action.
